How We Do It
Walkthrough and written estimate
We look at every room you want painted, note the prep each one needs, and put it in writing. Free, and there is no obligation attached to it.
Protect the room
Furniture moved or covered, floors under drop cloths, hardware and outlets masked. We would rather spend the extra half hour than clean paint off your floor.
Prep the surfaces
Nail holes and cracks filled, rough spots sanded, gaps caulked, glossy surfaces scuffed so paint has something to grip. Stains and bare drywall get primed.
Cut in and roll
Two coats as standard. Ceilings first, then walls, then trim, so nothing gets touched twice.
Walk it with you
We go through the finished rooms together in daylight. Anything you are not happy with gets fixed before we pack up.

We do not publish a price per square foot, because the number would be wrong for most homes. These are what actually move the estimate.

A single room is usually one to two days. A full interior repaint of a three-bedroom home typically runs three to five days, depending on prep and whether trim and ceilings are included.

Do I need to be home while you paint?
Not necessarily. Many clients provide access and then go about their day. We do ask that someone be available for a brief walkthrough at the start and end of each day.
How do you protect my furniture and floors?
We move or cover furniture, protect floors with drop cloths, and mask off all surfaces not being painted, including hardware, outlets, windows and trim.
What paint finish should I use in each room?
Generally flat or matte for ceilings and low-traffic areas, eggshell or satin for living rooms and bedrooms, semi-gloss for kitchens, bathrooms and trim, and gloss for doors and high-wear surfaces. We make specific recommendations during the estimate.
Can you match an existing paint color?
Yes. If you have the original can or know the brand and colour name we can order an exact match. We can also scan a surface to match it for touch-ups or a full repaint.
